REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Vice presidential candidate Hatta Rajasa vows to continue policy during his ministerial term on  raw material export ban, if he is elected on the presidential election on July 9, 2014.

"I implemented raw material export ban in January 2014. Over-exploitation of natural resources has only damaged our environment," Rajasa said on Monday.

"We can be the Tiger of Asia," he said referring to raw material export ban.

The ban is among development programs of Rajasa and his pair for presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto.

Indonesia became a significant exporter of raw materials and commodities. And now Indonesia is working to climb the supply chain by shifting its policy from raw material exporter to processed product exporter.
