REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KEDIRI -  Chairman of Campaign Team of Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa for President and Vice President 2014, Mahfud MD is optimistic that both figures could get more than 51 percent of votes in Indonesia. According to internal survey, the Red and White Coalition could gain 57-61 percent of votes in  the next presidential election.

"This figure is based on our latest calculation," Mahfud said in Kediri recently.

Mahfud held a meeting with Islamic teachers and Subianto-Hatta's supporters in Kediri. About 600 people came from Kediri, Tulungagung, Nganjuk and Lamongan. The former chief justice of the Constitutional Court targets Islamic boarding schools and Islamic teachers to win votes in presidential campaign, including their alumni.
