Bukopin Syariah seeks 100 percent growth in microfinance

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Bukopin (BSB), a subsidiary of publicly listed Bank Bukopin plans to focus on micro sector this year through collaboration with Islamic financial institutions. President Director of Bukopin Syariah, Riyanto said that company targetted to increase micro financing up to 100 percent or approximately 400 billion IDR.

"Our financing has reached 3.2 trillion IDR. Micro financing reached 200 million IDR last year and will be increased 100 percent in 2014," Riyanto said recently.

Bukopin Syariah managed to reach fund of 19.55 billion IDR, while third party fund reached 421 billion IDR or increased 14.78 percent in 2013. Number of saving grew 53.61 percent worth 185.246 trillion IDR, while deposits grew 11.62 percent worth 269.75 billion IDR.

Company's total assets increased 20.1 percent, from 3.62 trillion IDR in 2012 to 4.34 trillion IDR in 2013.
