REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The country's biggest cement producer, PT Semen Indonesia will distribute dividend of 2.42 trillion to all shareholders. This value equals with 45 percent of company's net profit in 2013, which is 5.37 trillion IDR. President Director of Semen Indonesia, Dwi Soetjipto said that the value increased 10.6 percent compared to 2012.
"The dividend value is 407 IDR per share compared to 368 IDR per share in 2012," Soetjipto said recently as reported by Zaky Al Hamzah.
Semen Indonesia recorded net profit of 5.37 trillion IDR in 2013. About 2.95 trillion IDR will be allocated as fund reserves for company's development.
Company produced 26.9 million tons of cement in 2013 or grew 17.8 percent compared to same period last year. Volume sales reached 27.9 million tones or increased 23.5 percent.
Semen Indonesia's revenue reached 24.5 trillion IDR or increased 25.01 percent. Operating profit grew 14.3 percent to 7.06 trillion IDR making company as the major player in national cement industry with total capacity of 26 million tons per year. Company's domestic market share stood at level of 44 percent this year.
Semen Indonesia seeks production capacity of 30 million tons in 2014 after completing the construction of cement plant in Rembang (Central Java) and Padang (West Sumatra). Company has allocated 200 million USD for cemen plant acquisition in Myanmar. Company explores two private companies in the foreign country with cement capacity of 1-1.5 million tons per year. This acquisition can be carried out on June 2014.
