REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned Deputy Chairman of Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) Agus Santoso on Monday, on alleged corruption provision of Short Term Financing Facility (FPJP) to Bank Century and also for declaring status as a failed bank with systemic impact.
Santoso was questioned in position of former Deputy director of Department of Strategic Planning and Public Relations in Bank Indonesia (BI). He is also a witness to another suspect, former BI deputy governor Budi Mulya who has been detained since November 15, 2013.
On Monday, KPK also questioned Ahmad Fuad (an employee at BI directorate of supervision), BI employees (Rudiatin S Djadmiko and Doddy Budi Waluyo), ex-BI employees (Eddy Sulaiman Yusuf and Rusli Simanjuntak) and also BI deputy governor (Halim Alamsyah). Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) noted that state losses due to FPJP of Bank Century reached 689.3 billion IDR. While declaring Bank Century as a failed bank with systemic impacts costs the state 6.76 trillion IDR.
Former BI deputy governor for banking supervision, Siti Chodijah Fajriah, may be held accountable. Yet, the legal process is still suspended due to her health problem.
