REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Hardy Pramono replaced position of Elisabeth Proust as President and General Manager of Total E&P Indonesie (TEPI). Proust will lead Total E&P Nigeria, while Pramono who began his new duty since January 14, 2014 was previously an Executive Vice President of Operations & East Kalimantan District Manager TEPI.
Pramono was the first Indonesian to occupy the highest office in East Kalimantan. He is currently the first Indonesian who leads an affiliate of Total SA. This is in line with company's mission to promote international cadre,
Pramono said that his main priority was to resist the decline of production at Mahakam oil and gas block. He will actively carry out exploration activities in several new oil and gas blocks as majority production is still coming from old fields now.
Total E&P Indonesie recorded gas production reached 1.7 billion cubic feet (bcf) per day or 11 percent above the target. The liquid oil and condensate production reached 67.6 thousand barrels per day.
Pramono wanted to improve implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) principles, so the number of working accidents remained low.
"HSE principles and its implementations must be in line with good corporate governance and compliance," Pramono said on Monday.
The appointment of Pramono as the number one in Total E&P Indonesie showed that 97 percent of employees in this multinational company are Indonesian citizens.
