REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GAZA -- Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip against training camps used by the armed wing of the territory's Hamas rulers left four children and a woman wounded overnight, Palestinian medical sources said Thursday.
The five Palestinian civilians were hit by shrapnel but their wounds are not life-threatening, the sources said.
One of the strikes targeted a camp used for training by the Ezzedine al-Qaddam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamist Hamas group that has
controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007, Palestinian security officials said.
In a previous raid on Monday jets retaliated to rockets fired on southern Israel following the burial of former prime minister Ariel Sharon at his ranch near the border with Gaza.
