AirAsia to add eight new aircrafts next year

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG - Subsidiary of Malaysia based airline company, PT AirAsia Indonesia is ready to add eight new aircrafts next year. CEO of AirAsia Indonesia, Dharmadi explained that the new aircraft would arrive in April 2014 to be added to existing 30 aircrafts.

While the addition of Airbus 320 aircraft is scheduled to serve international flight routes. Dharmadi said the addition were still under consideration due to IDR's weakening against USD. 

"AirAsia will still evaluate the market," Dharmadi said recently. 

The purchasing new aircrafts will use leasing scheme. This year, AirAsia Indonesia managed to serve eight million passengers. The figure increased 5.9 million passengers compared to previous year. Company plans to reach 15 percent of passenger increase next year.
