President launches an anti-corruption film

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - International Anti-Corruption Day and Human Rights 2013 is celebrated at State Palace on Monday. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono launched a film and public service announcement on national strategies to prevent and eradicate corruption in the country.

The film showed several cases of corruption in Indonesia. Most people already know definition of corruption. Corruption is not only as fault of individuals, but also system that allows people to engage in corruption.

Fighting corruption remains a government's focus. President explained that efforts of government, Commission and law enforcement has been rated by the world as a must, indiscriminate and could open hidden criminal.

"We completely conduct some efforts to eradicate corruption with serious, massive and aggressive. It means, there is no term of state omission for those who commit criminal act of corruption," Yudhoyono said.

He believes that law enforcement works based on facts and evidence. President ensured that Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out its duties based on three principles of precautionary, professionalism and independent. It is very important to enforce law fairly as possible in this beloved country.
