REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Some flight operators hopes government to open more opportunities for airline companies to follow tender as Hajj operators next year. Vice President of Hajj in PT Garuda Indonesia, Hady Syahrean said that the state owned aircraft company was ready to compete with other airlines.
"We are re-competing this year with Saudi Arabian Airlines. In fact, Saudi Arabian Airline is only dare to play in certain embarkation," Syahrean said on Monday.
PT AirAsia Indonesia and PT Aviastar Mandiri have proposed requirements as Hajj operators next year. Corporate Communication Manager in AirAsia Indonesia, Audrey Progastama Petriny said that the company prepared more capability to bid again next year.
Commercial Manager of Aviastar Mandiri, Petrus Budi explained that the company would continue to offer transport for Hajj pilgrims next year if Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Transportation open the opportunities. There are four main requirements to be Hajj operators in Indonesia.
First, operator must operate aircrafts that were made in 1995 or at least 1991 for Boeing 747. Second, aircrafts must meet airworthiness standards according to Indonesian Civil Aviation of origin listed country. Third, operator must prepare aircraft data and leasing documents.
Fourth, aircraft airworthiness inspection that will be used must based on Indonesian Civil Aviation Safety Regulations.
