If you are staying in one of the classy hotels at Nusa Dua or Tanjung Benoa and are tired of the hotel buffets and in the mood for some unique dining experiences or let’s say for some reason you randomly crave some Russian delicacies, then The Heart of Bali located at Tanjung Benoa is a good place to start.

The layout overall resembles any other restaurant in Bali, with its outdoor seating area, bar and of course some Balinese objet d'art dotted around the place but the food they serve here is completely filled with variety of home cooked style dishes from Russia, South Asia and Japan. You will also find a range of popular Western choices here as well. So if you are part of a large group or have some fussy eaters in your party, you can safely say that someone will find something to order.

For the cold appetizers, you will find Russian specialities such as Borscht, Okroshka and starters with slices of smokey lard, saurerkraut, and pickeld cucumbers. We recommend the stuffed paprika with beef and rice served with parsely, potato and soup as a great and light way to start your meal.

For mains, we definitely recommend both of their favorite dishes, which are the steamed fresh snapper or the baked pork in white wine, garlic, mozzarella cheese and cream sauce.

Aside from the array of unique international dishes, we also recommend that you try their "to share" dishes such as the Barbeque and Thermidor combination of lobsters, prawns, seafood skewers served with sides of rice and salad. For a bit of a local fare, we suggest the RJ Staffel for Two which consists of chicken noodle soup and thus basically a soto mie. Other dishes you will find are chicken curry, pork in sweet and sour sauce, beef sate, chicken fried rice and chicken fried noodles. Definitely a good place for tourists in Bali to sample some of the local fare and something different as well.
