Chinese-Malaysian investors invest in agriculture

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chinese and Malaysian investors joining in Amarak Group, expressed their interest on rice and soybean productions. Both companies work under the same local agribusiness company, PT Tri Indah Mandiri.

"We are ready transferring funds and technology to maximize productivity of agriculture in area of one million hectares in Indonesia," Director of PT Ratu Indah Mandiri, subsidiary of Amarak Group, Mohammad Helmy Bujang said after signing ceremony in Jakarta.

Farmers need to acquire knowledge to generate higher farm productivity. Such investment will provide transfer of agricultural knowledge to farmers in developing products derived from rice and soybeans. Bujang said benefit that they would receive from this investment was they could develop industrial products derived from rice and soybeans. 

President Director of Tri Megah Mandiri, Made Suardika Dwipayana said this partnership program similar to development of national farmers by state owned companies.
