"Increase of parking tariff can be rejected because Parking Technical Unit has not yet demonstrate good its performance than collecting money from on street parking. Imagine, with so many vehicles in Jakarta, but the parking tarrif results not reach 25 billion IDR per year," Member of Democratic Party, Santoso said on Saturday.

Meanwhile, government get retribution from off street parking in private buildings or malls reach 350 billion IDR per year. It's ironic as on-street parking's spots are much more than off-street parking's spots.

Earlier, Head of Parking Technical Unit, Vermy Enrico said the increase in parking tariff according to Law No. 5/2012 about Parking to increase revenue.
