The biggest hospital in Indonesia gets international accreditation

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM) gets international accreditationom Joint Commission International (JCI) in a ceremony on Tuesday. Now, RSCM becomes the first hospital in Indonesia with international accreditation.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono witnessed the ceremony and he expressed his hope that the accreditation will improve its services and link the hospital with  other international hospitals in the world.

"With excellent service, people will come to this hospital instead of seeking treatment abroad," Yudhoyono said. 

President Director of RSCM, Ceresna Heriawan Soejono, said it was not easy to realize and get international accreditation for quality of service. She said the biggest challenge to international hospitals are diversity, sharing the same perception, leadership of the head of unit, as well as working group.
