REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Director of Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), Ito Warsito expects that listed stock company will add trade transactions to increase growth of domestic capital market capitalization at regional level. The increase of market value is due to rising prices of existing stocks and new stocks.

"Capitalization of IDX is now at 5,000 trillion IDR or about 510 billion USD. So that, in coming years, the Indonesian capital market can exceed the value of Singapore's stock market capitalization," Warsito said after listing of shares of PT Mustika Pinasthika Mitra Tbk (MPMX) in Jakarta on Wednesday.

In last four years, the value of IDX capitalization has increased more than five times. Warsito said the increase was also a momentum for IDX to compete with other exchanges in ASEAN region. Moreover, the addition of new shares also expected to be an additional collection for investors in domestic market.
