REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Trade, Gita Wirjawan said he was ready to be a candidate in presidential election 2014. Wirjawan explained that his name was among candidates in conventions initiated by Chairman of Democratic Party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono recently.

"If God's willing, I will be ready," Wirjawan said on Saturday.

Wirjawan said that Indonesia was potential in trade and economy. He was confident that the potential would be good ammunition to be a presidential candidate. Yet, he admitted he had not communicated directly with Yudhoyono.
