National oil production increases in 2013

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia's 2013 oil production increases significantly. Head of Oil and Gas Special Task Force (SKK Migas) Rudi Rubiandini said that oil production has reached 830,900 barrels per day (bpd) in the first quarter of 2013 then 825 thousand bpd year on year (yoy) in December 2012. 

"It has reached 840 thousand bpd today," Rubiandini said on Friday. 

The production increase is due to oil and gas cooperation  contractors (KKKS) perfoms well and increase their production in the first three months.

ConocoPhillips for example, was able to boost production from 30,100 bpd to 36,084 bpd. VICO Indonesia is also increasing the production of six percent above the target, from 13,800 bpd to 14,661 bpd.

CNOOC SES Ltd produced  35,469 bpd while the target is 33,488 bpd. The production of Pertamina Hulu Energi North West Java Offshore (PHE ONWJ) was recorded 37,918 bpd or beyond its target of 33,488 bpd.
