PKS, the first party submitting its candidates for 2014 election

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) becomes the first political party to submit its candidates to be elected in 2014 general election. In total there are 492 candidates consist of 311 males and 191 females. 

The party sets target to win 120 seats at House of Representatives. "We seek opportunities in 77 potential electoral districts in Indonesia," said Secretary General of PKS Taufik Ridho in Jakarta. Taufik is optimistic that the target can be achieved due to the quality of the party's candidates. 

Mostly, Ridho said the candidates were between 30 to 50 years old. At least, 55 candidates are currently sit at the house of representative, and two nominees were ministers in the Second United Indonesia Cabinet.
