REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PEKALONGAN - Pekalongan city administration will hold "Night Batik Fashion" in April to promote batik nationally and internationally. The event is also an effort to promote Pekalongan as batik city.

"During Night Batik Fashion, designers will collaborate with batik makers. They will present the fascinating batik fashion design on the runway," Local Secretary of Pekalongan city administration, Dwi Arie Putranto, said on Friday.

Night Batik Fashion, planned to be held in Jetayu Field, is also to celebrate the 107 anniversary of Pekalongan. He said that government appreciated designers and batik makers who had actively involved in the celebration.
