REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The year 2013 and 2014 are considered as political year for Indonesia as it is heading towards general election. Yet, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono warned state officials that duty always came first.

"Year 2013 and 2014 are special years as they are considered as political years. Some of us have two missions, state mission and political mission," SBY said in the opening speech of Government Work Meeting 2013 in Jakarta Convention Center on Monday.

SBY emphasized that every state official, including governor, mayor and regent must perform their duty well. "My word is prioritize state and government's duty. We must have good time management," he said.

Government Work Meeting 2013 is an annual agenda to synchronize every step taken by every elemen within government. The meeting is attended by all governors, regents and mayors in Indonesia.

"We expect this year to be better than last year," he said.
