REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik officially asks for additional quota of subsidized fuel in the amount of 1.2 million kilo liters (kl) to the House of Representatives.

"We have delivered the letter this morning," Wacik said on Monday.

He also asked the board to immediately hold meeting to talk about the matter. "We must conduct it soon," he said.

Based on the calculation of state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina and the ministry, the quota of diesel fuel will run out on December 11 or December 23. The additional quota needs at least 5 to 6 trillion IDR.

It is the second time that government adds the quota of subsidized fuel in 2012. In state budget 2012, the quota was only 40 million kl. However, in September, government asked for additional 4.04 million kl.
