REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State toll road operator PT Jasa Marga Tbk will propose a 10 percent rise in the tariff for the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road effective at the end of September. Right now the company is introducing the planned toll hike.

"We hope the tariff for the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road will be raised at the end of September according to the inflation rate hike of nearly 10 percent in the past couple of years," PT Jasa Marga Operations Director Hasanudin said on Sunday. "According to the reguation, the fee for the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road should have been raised early July 2012," he said. 

Yet the toll road regulatory body at the Public Works Ministry said several aspects of services still had to be improved before the company pushes through the toll hike. "All the improvements have been completed. Jasa Marga pledges to continue to improve its services, including construction and transaction services," he said.
