Yogyakarta is the coziest city in Indonesia

Yogyakarta holds a fashion carnival on Saturday. The city is dubbed as the coziest city in Indonesia and outnumbered Jakarta which sits in number 13.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN - Yogyakarta is the coziest city in Indonesia in 2009 and 2011 based on Indonesian Association of Planners (IAP). Meanwhile, in 2011 the capital city of Jakarta sits in number 13. Ouch… 

The rating is based on nine indicators, such as spatial structure, transportation, health facilities, educational facilities, infrastructure, economy, safety, and social condition. "Yogyakarta sits on the coziest city in Indonesia on 2009 and 2011," the Dean of FTSP UII Yogyakarta, Moch Teguh, said on International Conference on Sustainable Built Environment (ICSBE) in Sleman on Tuesday.

The speakers of the conference are Collin Duffield (Australia), Huseyin Gokcekus (Cyprus), Kohei Komatsu (Japan), Kazuhiro Toyoda (Japan), Ibrahim Numan (Turkey), Jim LaMoreaux (US). Good news for Yogyakarta!
