Sukhoi insurance claims paid

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Insurance companies has paid the claims from the victims of Sukhoi tragedy in the amount of 11.3 billion IDR or 15,000 USD. Total compensation for the victims of Sukhoi tragedy reached 14 billion IDR and covered by 13 life insurance companies, said the Head of Communication in Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI), Nini Sumohandoyo.

"Until today, the industry has paid 11.3 billion IDR. It is only a matter of administration if it has not paid," Sumohandoyo said on Monday.

The association, she said, recommended the insurance companies to pay the claims soon, although no deadline had been set by the association. 

Meanwhile, the Chairman of AAJI, Hendrisman Rahim, said the claims had only been given to those who has insurance policy. "We do not compensate for those who do not have insurance," he said.
