REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - For the second time, the Minister of State Owned Enterprise Dahlan Iskan opened toll gates, but this time he was wrong. He opened Ancol Barat toll gate and allowed many cars passed for free.
“Ancol Barat toll gate is really jammed,” he said on Monday in his text to Republika.
On his text to the Deputy of Infrastructure and Logistics, Sumaryanto Wahidin, he said that he was obliged to disentangle traffic jam. “I have opened four gates, but the staff said the jam was usual thing,” Iskan said.
He instructed his staff to initiatively organize some stand officers who collect the ticket, but apparently the toll road was not managed by Jasa Marga (State owned enterprise). It belongs to Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP), a private business.
“I apologize to the management of CMNP because I thought it belonged to Jasa Marga,” he said. Though, he hoped that the management could be better and asked the management to add stand officers. “The toll gates cause traffic jam in three directions,” he added. If his apology was not enough, he said he was willing to cover the cost of the toll.
