Indonesia-Singapore strengthen maritime intelligence

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) conciliate the cooperation in maritime intelligence. The agreement became one of the topics on the Wednesday meeting between Vice Admiral of Indonesian Navy, Marsetion, and Singapore Chief of Staff-Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Tan Wee Beng in Indonesian Navy headquarter in Jakarta.

“The meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between RSN and Indonesian Navy,” the Head of Indonesian Naval Information Service, Untung Suropati.

The previous, ongoing, and upcoming operations between Indonesian Navy and RSN prove their close relationship. The cooperation is very close in educational program, especially in the commissioned officer student exchange.

On the same event, they also talk about the subject development on bilateral maritime exercise, such as PANDU EODEX with Republic of Singapore Navy Naval Diving Unit (RSN-NDU). “The 12th PANDU EODEX will be conducted on April until May 13 in Surabaya,” Suropati said.
