Wow… Yogyakarta 'flies' to the Netherlands

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA – After promoting itself to Czech Republic, Yogyakarta again tries to expand the tourism promotion to the Netherlands. “After visiting Czech Republic, Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti got an invitation from Indonesian Ambassador to Netherlands,” the Head of Protocol in Yogyakarta Local Government, Wahyu Hendratmoko, said.

Indonesian Ambassador to Netherlands, Retno Marsuadi, sent an invitation through email to Yogyakarta Mayor. The promotion on tourism aims to manage the cooperation between Yogyakarta and Netherlands in tourism including investment and education.

The Yogyakarta tourism promotion in Europe is started by attending 20th World Holiday Expo in Czech Republic on February 9-12. Yogyakarta has attended the expo two times. Haryadi will deliver a speech about tourism in Yogyakarta. 20th World Holiday Expo is a tourism promotion event attended by hundreds of travel agency from Europe.
