According to Marsudi, economic and trade relationship between Indonesia and China is increasing and she hoped that in the future as well, this relationship remains mutually beneficial for both countries. During her stay in Beijing, Minister Marsudi was also scheduled to meet her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. Issues, especially pertaining to investment and tourism, were discussed during the bilateral meeting.

"We encourage the positive momentum that needs to be continued with regard to the CoC framework because it needs to be emphasised that Indonesia and China are two big countries in the region. Of course, what we do has an impact on the region," Indonesian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir said.
