REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indicator pollsters released the results of the survey “Public Evaluation of the Performance of the Year of the Prabowo-Gibran Government” on Saturday (8/11/2025). As a result, 77.7 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction and very satisfied with the performance of President Prabowo Subianto.
Founder and Lead Researcher of the Indicator, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, said 77.7 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with Prabowo's performance over the past year. In the breakdown, 17.3 percent of respondents expressed very satisfied and 60.4 percent expressed satisfaction. Only 20.8 percent of respondents expressed less satisfaction or dissatisfaction at all.
“So there is quite a lot of electoral political capital, especially the social legitimacy of Mr. Prabowo after a year as president,” he said as he delivered the results of the online survey on Saturday afternoon.
There are a number of factors that make the public satisfied with Prabowo's performance during his year in charge of Indonesia. Some of this is because Prabowo is rated as successful in eradicating corruption (19.5 per cent), performing well (15.9 per cent), there is already evidence of his performance (12.8 per cent), resolute and authoritative, courageous (9.7 per cent), often giving help (8 per cent, and there is a Free Nutritious Meal programme (6.1 per cent).
Even so, for reasons of public satisfaction, economic performance has not been included in it. That is, satisfaction with Prabowo has not been contributed by economic factors.
“For improving economic fundamentals, there is still a lot of homework from Prabowo's government, including the new Finance Minister. Because of his many promises he issued,” Burhanuddin said.
While in the group of people who expressed dissatisfaction, the most high underlying reason was that there was no evidence of performance yet, performance was not good (20.4 percent). In addition, other influencing factors are that aid is not on target or less evenly distributed (14.1 percent), work programs are not running at their maximum (13.6 percent), the economy has not stabilized/deteriorated (8.1 percent), and corruption is still rampant (5.4 percent).
It is known that the population of the survey is all Indonesian citizens who have the right to vote in general elections. Sampling using multistage random sampling method.
In that survey, the number of samples reached 1,220 people. Assuming a simple random sampling method, the sample size of 1,220 respondents had an error tolerance (margin of error/MoE) of about 2.9 percent at a confidence level of 95 percent.
Samples came from all Provinces in Indonesia which were distributed proportionally. The selected respondents were interviewed face-to-face by trained interviewers.
