REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of the Department of Sharia Economy and Finance (DEKS) of Bank Indonesia, Imam Hartono, confirmed the holding of Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF 2025) became the momentum of strengthening the foundation of sharia economic value in the country. He said that this activity is not just an economic event, but a spiritual space to strengthen the spirit of prosperity.

“This ongoing ISEF is our way of accelerating the sharia economy in the homeland. Today's grand tabligh is a spiritual reinforcement to strengthen the foundation of values before moving on to the wider technical implementation of sharia economy,” Imam said in Tabligh Akbar Republika at Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2025, JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Saturday (11/10/2025).

He said that the strengthening of values is an important aspect in the development of the sharia economy so as not to lose its soul. According to Imam, prosperity and justice should be the direction of economic policy, not just the growth of statistical numbers.

“The sharia economy we are developing is an instrument of empowerment. Through the principles of justice, transparency and prosperity, we are building an economic system that not only generates profits, but also brings prosperity to the people,” he said.

Imam explained that Bank Indonesia through DEKS is committed to promoting the development of the sharia financial economy with a collaborative approach. He assessed that acceleration needs to be accompanied by innovation, literacy, and community empowerment in order for sharia values to be truly grounded.

“We will continue to expand the development of the sharia economy, not only through regulation, but also through education and community empowerment such as today's activities,” Imam said.
