REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUKOHARJO -- Pondok Pesantren Al Mukmin Ngruki Sukoharjo founded by Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir (ABB) held the 79th Independence Anniversary ceremony of RI on Saturday (17/8/2024). The ceremony began at around 07.00 pm. Those attending the independence commemoration ceremony wore white gamis and peci.
However, Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asir was not present at the ceremony due to health factors. Pantauan Republika, Director of Pondok Pesantren Al Mukmin, Ustaz Yahya advised students to fill their independence with laudable and ethical values. Because, he said, the struggle for independence is achieved with the hard work of centrists, kiai, and even heroes.
“Children should understand that Indonesian independence is not only fought with sleep, lechery, playfulness but Indonesia's struggle until independence is carved with the blood of martyrs, kyai, santri and carved the blood of Indonesian heroes whom they have now martyred before us,” he said on Saturday (17/8/2024).
He recounted how scholars burned and stirred the spirit for independence by shouting takbir. “All of us scholars and clerics, when faced with the invaders who came to Indonesia with shouts of praise of Allahu Akbar, they continued to stand up and fight to drive away the invaders who came who changed and never stopped,” he said.
Therefore, he hopes that the santri will live up to the value of Pancasila's values, especially the first precepts. He hopes that by doing so he can create a dignified and moral generation.
“The statement of the Supreme Divine requires a logical consequence, the statement of the supreme divine declaration requires realization in the life of the country, therefore prepare yourselves to be the future generation capable of bringing about a dignified, moral Indonesia and upholding the values of the Pancasila precepts,” he said.
On the other hand, when asked about ABB's absence, it said earlier it had time to confirm attendance. However, he did not impose the presence of the founder of the Ngruki lodge due to health problems.
“I cannot impose his condition, he usually had a break in the morning yesterday when we confirmed that he was ready to attend. But we can't impose because of the conditions,” he concluded.
