REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The success of the red and white contingent collected 31 golds so that it was perched in the top three rankings until Saturday (13/12/2025), making President Prabowo Subianto, proud of the athletes struggle at the 2025 SEA Games.

The president judged the athletes to have shown their best in carrying out this noble task. The President stressed that appearing at the SEA Games does not mean only appearing at a game, but the duty to defend the country so that Greater Indonesia meets before other nations.

In support to the Indonesian contingent, President Prabowo conveyed greetings to the athletes through the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Erick Thohir.

“President Prabowo expressed his greetings to all the athletes who are struggling at the SEA Games. He thanked the medalists for their passion of presenting achievements. Mr. President also advised the athletes to be total in the competition until the final day, stay focused, disciplined and build mental strength and confidence, because this is the key to the winner,” said Erick.

President Prabowo also said that the government appreciated the hard work of the gold winners by preparing a bonus worth Rp 1 Billion. The bonus is as a form of national respect that rewards the merits of heroes in the field of sport.
