REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The current situation of the development of the Capital Archipelago in Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), is highlighted. Many parties want to know the progress of development on the ground.

Because, the government is targeting the celebration of the 79th Anniversary (Anniversary) of the 79th Republic of Indonesia there. This means that on August 17, 2024 there will be several titles including flag apples led by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at IKN. Special Staff for Public Communications/Spokesperson of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN), Troy Pantouw, explained that the development is currently inthe finalization phase.

The workers in the field and the officers and related parties continue to work hard to deliver the best results. According to Troy, OIKN also appreciated the effort.

“Our thanks and appreciation to all parties and especially to the workers on the ground. We are optimistic that the facilities and infrastructure before the Kkmerdekaan anniversary event are ready,” Troy told Republika.co.id in Jakarta, Wednesday (10/7/2024).

Earlier, in an OIKN press release, the government continued to commit to preparing various means and infrastructure for the implementation of the 79th Anniversary of RI at the IKN. One of the main aspects of concern is the readiness of the ceremony field. The construction of the facilities and infrastructure was targeted to be completed in the near future.

Construction of the ceremonial field which is the centrepiece of the Independence Anniversary celebrations has entered its final stages. The government continues to accelerate the construction to ensure all facilities and supporting infrastructure can be ready to support the holding of ceremonies at IKN.

“The government under the coordination of the Ministry of PUPR is making every effort to complete all preparations for the independence ceremony properly. The finalization phase of the construction of the State Palace building and the Ceremony Square in the Presidential Palace Area in IKN is being carried out to ensure that the infrastructure is ready for use,” said Acting Deputy Head of OIKN, Raja Juli Antoni.
