REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- PT Pertamina Patra Niaga guaranteed the need for Fuel Oil (Fuel) including aviation for aircraft during the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali was met with a projected consumption increase of 10-15 percent from normal daily due to the large stock capacity supported.

“We ensure that all our energy services and infrastructure readiness in Bali are ready to support the World Water Forum,” said Area Manager Communications, Relations and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Ahad Rahedi in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday (23/4/2024).

He explained that the projected increase in consumption of 10-15 percent is the highest figure that is expected to be realized in the range of 8-9.5 percent, reflecting the realization of the implementation of a similar international agenda.

Sunday also ensured that the projected increased consumption was already available at facilities owned by the oil and gas SOE in Bali, namely at the Manggis Integrated Fuel Terminal in Karangasem Regency, Sanggaran Fuel Terminal in Denpasar and Air Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU) Ngurah Rai.

According to him, Pertamina should adjust the fuel needs according to the consumption trend from a few days before D-day, i.e. arrival to departure back to the country of the World Water Forum delegates.

“So (the stock) is not added specifically by being prepared over, no, but it does exist for a number of those (projections),” he said.

Because, the capacity at Manggis Integrated Fuel Terminal and Sanggaran Fuel Terminal has a large capacity. In fact, he continued, Manggis Integrated Fuel Terminal became one of the backbone of distribution lines for regions in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

He explained that the capacity of pertalite type fuel tanks, for example, reaches about 19 thousand kiloliters in Manggis Integrated Fuel Terminal and Sanggaran Fuel Terminal, or seven times the average normal daily consumption in Bali reaches about 2,700 kiloliters.

Likewise for fuel to fill the aircraft or avtur at DPPU Ngurah Rai, the capacity of which reaches about 14 thousand kiloliters, or greater than the average normal daily consumption of about 1,800 kiloliters.

He added that Pertamina closely monitors the stock since its availability is dynamic, namely between delivery to the community through a gas station and the receipt of fuel at the fuel terminal through tankers is carried out on an ongoing basis.

“The stock is dynamic, every hour it even changes because some are delivered to gas stations but some are also received at depots or fuel terminals. This figure is dynamic, it could be that after unloading the tanker, the stock count can be 12 days to tens of days,” he said.

As an overview, the normal daily consumption as of January 2024 in Bali for gasoline or pertalite fuel up to the firstax turbo reaches 2,851 kiloliters. Then the normal daily consumption for gasoil, namely diesel, reached 720 kiloliters, subsidised LPG of three kilograms reached 784 metric tons, non-subsidized LPG reached 36 metric tons and avtur reached 1,890 kiloliters.
