“For example, one of the indicators of election success is that all planned stages proceed according to those already prepared,” said Chairman of the II DPR Commission, Ahmad Doli Kurnia after a working meeting at Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (25/3/2024).

“So it means that so far, so far from the perspective of the implementation of the stage, this stage has gone up and been successful,” he added.

In addition, voter turnout also increased in the 2024 elections. Based on the Commission's exposures, voter turnout increased to nearly 82 percent.

“So from a voter turnout perspective, this is the highest yes g voter as well. So it means that people's awareness to be involved in this election is quite good,” Doli said.

The working meeting to evaluate the 2024 election itself was suspended until April 1. The forum will later become a deepening event for Commission II to the government and the organizers of the 2024 elections.

Although it is called a success, there are a number of shortcomings that will be the focus of Commission II. One of these was the use of the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) which reaped controversy.

“We would like to note that this Sirekap is only an auxiliary tool, but it turns out that in his journey this has made a mess,” said the Deputy General Chairman of the Golkar Party.
