50 Percent of Elected Members of Parliament in Jember Are New

Gerindra Party gets the most seats in Jember Parliament, which is 10 seats.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, Jember -- As many as 50 percent of the 50 legislative candidates elected in the Jember Parliament for the period 2024-2029 are new faces. This is based on determining the election results for Jember Parliament based on data from the Jember Regency Commission.

The Gerindra Party won the most seats in the Jember Parliament with 10 seats, followed by the PKB with eight seats, PDI Struggle with eight seats, the Democratic Party with six seats, the PKS with six seats, the Golkar Party with six seats, the PPP with five seats, and the PAN with only one seat.

“Thank God, we got 10 seats in Jember Parliament for the period 2024-2029 and that number increased by seven seats compared to the 2019 elections,” said Gerindra Jember Party DPC Chairman Ahmad Halim when confirmed by telephone in the local district on Tuesday (12/3/2024).

According to data from KPU Jember, the new faces of legislative members in Electoral District 1 are three, Constituency 2 has five, Constituency 3 has five, Constituency 4 has two, Constituency 5 has three, Constituency 6 has four, and Constituency 7 has three, so that a total of 25 out of 50 legislative candidates will be elected in the 2024 general election.

“Gerindra Party got 10 seats and there are four new faces namely Ahmad Hoirozi (Constituency 1), Hanan Kukuh Ratmono (Constituency 3), Edo Rahmanta Ersu Putra (Constituency 5), and Achmad Syahri As Sidiqi (Constituency 6),” he said.

While the six incumbents who remain seated in the Jember Parliament are Alfian Andri Wijaya (Constituency 1), Ahmad Halim (Constituency 2), Siswono (Constituency 4), Ardi Pujo Prabowo (Constituency 5), Hasan Basuki (Constituency 7) and Suharyatik (Constituency 7).

The CLA and PDI Perjuangan each gained eight seats in the Jember Parliament with a new face breakdown in the CLA of three. Namely Anggun Tri Utami (Constituency 2), Fuad Akhsan (Constituency 5), and Robit Wajdi (Constituency 7).

For PDI Perjuangan, the number of new faces is more five, namely Widarto and Wahyu Prayudi Nugroho (Constituency 2), Candra Ary Fianto (Constituency 3), Indi Naidha (Constituency 6), and Suharto (Electoral District 7), while the incumbent only three people survived namely Edi Cahyo P. (Constituency 1), Tabroni (Constituency 4)) and Alfian Yusfi (Constituency 5).

The Nasdem, PKS, and Golkar parties each gained six seats, while the PPP gained five seats, and the PAN gained only one seat.

Meanwhile, there are three parties that previously had representatives in the Jember Parliament, but did not gain seats in the 2024 election, namely the Democratic Party and the Perindo Party, which previously had two seats, as well as the Berkarya Party which previously had one seat.
