REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Presidential candidate (presidential candidate) winner of the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo Subianto, hopes that Indonesia will become an exporter of raw materials. He believes that this will be realized in his reign sometime, precisely in 2028.

“I think we (Indonesia) will export food within three to four years (in the future),” Prabowo said during a keynote speaker at the Mandiri Investment Forum (MIF) 2024 event at Fairmont Hotel, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (5/3/2024).

To achieve that target, Prabowo said, all parties in Indonesia must learn from other countries. For example, study how China is eradicating poverty and how India has become one of the world's largest food exporting countries.

“We have to learn from the best practices of many countries. China is so good at eradicating poverty. India is currently one of the largest food exporting countries in the world,” DPP chairman Gerindra said.

In addition, Prabowo said, Indonesia continues to strive to realize a green economy. The reason is that there is a lot of green economic potential in the country. “We will strive to have a green economy. We can have vegetable fuels. We can get solar from palm oil. We can get gasoline from ethanol. We will have ethanol from sugar and also from tapioca,” the defense minister said.

Moreover, Prabowo believes that Indonesia's economic growth could increase by up to eight percent in the next four to five years. “In conclusion, I am confident that we can drive growth. We can achieve eight percent growth, maybe more,” Prabowo said.
