As part of the community and a professional, Erick believes the potential that the nation has should benefit the people of Indonesia.
“February 14 is counting days, for which I invite you to drop the same choice on the Prabowo-Gibran couple. February 14 in the voting booth, the direction of Indonesia's development is in your hands. Let's make sure Indonesia moves forward together,” said the Chairman of the All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) and the Minister of State Owned Enterprises via Instagram account, @erickthohir on Saturday (10/2/2024).
Erick said, “No human being is perfect. But after nearly four years as a minister, Erick learned important lessons about the greatness of two statesmen: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Prabowo Subianto.
“They fought in two presidential elections, but united for Indonesia,” Erick said.
For Erick, Jokowi and Prabowo are two people who sincerely work for people to live better. Erick said Indonesia would not be able to recover quickly from the pandemic crisis if its leaders were still fighting. Not only that, positive cuts in economic growth are also impossible to achieve if there is still unrest due to differences in political attitudes.
“For me, the progress we have made must continue. There may be different choices, but don't split. Elections are just a momentary mechanism, but build this country we love for good. Let us pray together for Indonesia to advance in the world,” Erick said.
