Two pimps of online prostitution case are on the wanted list

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Police are still pursuing two pimps involved in online celebrities prostitution. The police identified them by their initials, D and R.

As the two suspects were still at large, police to put them on the wanted list. East Java Police chief Luki Hermawan said the role of D and R is known based on a result of profiling through a digital forensic of financial transactions data and social media and Whatstapp conversation between four others suspected pimps, namely TN, ES, F and W.

"If these two people are arrested then there will be six suspects in this case," Luki said at East Java Police headquarters on Monday (Jan 21).

Meanwhile, the East Java Police's special crime director Akhmad Yusep Gunawan said the role of D and R were similar to four other pimps. Both of them have a significant role in online prostitution ring.

"The two pimps are male," Yusep said.

The case of online prostitution involved at least 45 actresses and 100 photo models. The case was revealed following a raid in Surabaya by Cyber Criminal Division of East Java Regional Police on Saturday (Jan 5).

Police have named five suspects in online prostitution case, namely ES, TN, F and W as pimps and an actress VA.
