REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Police said the High Prosecutor Office has declared Ahmad Dhani's case file on defamation case complete. Therefore, the police to hand over evidences and the suspect to the Prosecutor.
"The case file for defamation case on behalf of Ahmad Dhani is declared complete or P 21," said spokeperson of East Java Police, Commissioner Pol. Frans Barung Mangera at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, Surabaya, on Friday (Jan 4).
Barung revealed the submission of supporting evidence and suspects to the East Java High Prosecutor's Office to be carried out in the next few days. Barung also stated that the East Java Regional Police will submit a notification letter to Ahmad Dhani.
"We will prepare it maybe within one or two days ahead" Barung said.

Previously, Ahmad Dhani's case file was returned by the East Java Attorney to the East Java Regional Police (P 19) because it was declared incomplete. East Java Regional Police was asked by East Java Prosecutor to ask for information from expert witnesses submitted by Dhani.
"Regarding the request, Barung said East Java Regional Police had conducted an examination of expert witnesses submitted by Ahmad Dhani. It has been declared complete. P 21 means that it has already been done (examination of expert witness of Ahmad Dhani), " said Barung.
Ahmad Dhani defamation case triggered by refusal of his arrival in Surabaya, East Java, by a group of people. He then failed to join #2019ChangePresident event on August, 2018.
He was reported to East Java Police by Elemen Bela NKRI Coalition because considered to have insulted the mass of Koalisi Elemen Bela (KEB) NKRI. The report was officially made by KEB-NKRI chairman Edi Firmanto on August 30.
The evidence included in the report was on the form of video that showed Ahmad Dhani called people who protested his presence as ‘idiot’. Ahmad Dhani then was examined at East Java Police headquarter on Oct 1 as witness. On Oct 18, he was named as suspect in defamation case.
Meanwhile, Dhani admitted that he did not bother with his determination as suspect. He said has been repeatedly named as suspect and travel ban against him is considered as normal thing.
“I have become a suspect for 11 times and I just entered court in this political year,” Dhani said.
