West Java Police examines Habib Bahar in alleged abuse case

Habib Bahar allegedly abuses two teenage at West Java Islamic boarding school.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Habib Bahar bin Smith has arrived at the West Java Regional Police Criminal Investigation Directorate, on Tuesday (Dec 18). Bahar was scheduled to be questioned regarding reports of alleged abuse case.

Before entering the investigation room, Habib Bahar, who was accompanied by a number of lawyers and supporters, expressed his readiness.

"I'm ready to undergo the examination," he said with a smile to reporters on Tuesday (Dec 18).

He did not give many comments to reporters. Meanwhile, the team of lawyers and his supporters were seen coming into the investigation room.

Before entering the investigation room, he and his lawyers had undergone a body check with a detector. Around 10 people of his lawyers and supporters underwent an examination at the entrance of the investigation room.

"Our client is ready to undergo an examination," said Azis, one of Habib Bahar's lawyers.

According to Azis, nine lawyers accompanied Habib Bahar. Based on information obtained by Republika.co.id, the alleged abuse case was occurred on Saturday (Dec 1).

The incident occurred at Tajul Alawiyyin Islamic Boarding School in Pabuaran, Kemang District, Bogor Regency, West Java. Two people suspected of being victims of Habib Bahar's abuse were MHU (17 years) and ABJ (18).

The case of persecution was reported to the Bogor police station on Wednesday (Dec 5).
