Police finds suspect of stray bullet at DPR building

Police to be questioned Perbakin members over the stray bullet case.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police has found the suspect of stray bullet that broke to House of Representatives (DPR) members rooms at Nusantara I building on Monday (Oct 15). According to the statement, the suspect is a Perbakin member with I initial, who came from South Tangerang.

“After receiving information, team from Jakarta Police immediately investigate the scene (TKP) at House of Representatives building on 13th and 16th floors,” said Jakarta Police criminal director, Nico Afinta on Monday (Oct 15).

Nico said the process was carried out jointly by a team from the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor), Identification, and Jakarta Police Inafis. They found holes that broke windows.

“From TKP, we concluded the bullet is come from the shooting range,” Nico added.

According to Nico, from the investigating, it was known that there was shooting exercise around 13.00 to 15.00 WIB (Indonesia West Standard Time) at Senayan Shooting Field. From coordination with Perbakin, there was confirmation that one of Perbakin members did shooting exercise.

“We will ask information from Perbakin member who did shooting exercise and convey the result later,” Nico said.
