REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Presidential spokesman Johan Budi said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) did not feel offended by the yellow card given by a student activist during 68 anniversary of University of Indonesia. He explained the yellow card is only a chorus book.

"During the event, a student holds up a yellow book, a chorus book," Johan said when confirmed in Jakarta on Friday.

Johan said the president has been scheduled to meet with the chairman of UI's Student Executive Board (BEM) during his visit to UI. Jokowi supposedly met the student activist after the ceremony. "BEM UI said they wanted to convey their message to the president," Johan said.

The meeting was cancelled following the yellow card incident, Johan remarked. According to him, Jokowi took the protest with normal reaction. "He did not feel offended."
