"Through this open letter, I, Tengku Zulkarnain convey my protest over National Police chief's speech and ask him to apologize, also withdraw his statement because it has no ethics and could divide the unity of Indonesian nation,"Tengku wrote.

In the video, Tito ordered all Metro Police chief to build network with NU and Muhammadiyah at the provincial level.

Meanwhile, all police sub-regions should also held activities to strengthen the mass organizations branch in the districts and cities. Tito said the sectoral police chief obliged to build synergy with NU and Muhammadiyah, not with other organizations. "(Synergy) with other organizations is not our priority. They were not founders of the country. They would probably intended to destroy the country," Tito remarked.
