REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) is targeting the migration of all BSI Mobile users to their latest Super App, Byond by BSI, within the next six months. BSI President Director, Hery Gunadi, revealed the migration process will be gradual so that users can switch smoothly.

“Our target is, God willing, in six months all BSI Mobile users have switched to Byond by BSI,” said Hery Gunadi when he met in Jakarta, Sunday (17/11/2024).

As a first step, BSI has introduced Byond by BSI in various strategic locations in the past two weeks. The campaign will continue with activations in major malls and major cities in Indonesia, such as Aceh, Bandung, and Semarang, to raise customer awareness of Byond by BSI's excellence.

Hery explained that there are currently about 7 million registered users on BSI Mobile with about 3.5 million to 4 million of them actively using the app. BSI hopes that, with this migration, more than 50 percent of BSI's total 21 million customers will switch to Byond by BSI.

“Active and registered users of BSI Mobile are approximately 7 million people, and we hope that more than 50 percent of our total customers will be able to use Byond by BSI in the near future,” continued Hery.

The Byond by BSI app not only offers conventional banking features such as transfers, balance checks, and gold installments, but also comes with social and spiritual features, such as zakat, infak, alms, and waqf (Ziswaf) payments, as well as reminders of prayer times and the direction of the qiblah.

In addition, Byond by BSI is also designed with a more user-friendly and secure interface, to provide a better experience for customers, both for financial transactions and lifestyle needs, such as air and train ticket purchases. As part of the migration effort, BSI also reinvigorated its direct approach through branches across Indonesia, in addition to relying on digital and offline campaigns to bring Byond by BSI applications closer to customers.

“Our approach is not only through mass media, but also directly to customers in branches and various other locations. In this way, we hope the migration to Byond by BSI can be faster,” Hery explained.
