REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) assessed defendant in e-ID card graft case, Setya Novanto has not been cooperative during the hearing. Therefore, KPK would reconsider Novanto's proposal to become justice collaborator. "So far, we have not hear his confession, such as in reception of watch and other alleged taking," spokesperson of KPK, Febri Diansyah said on Wednesday.
According to Febri, KPK has warned Novanto on the term and conditions to become justice collaborator. Novanto, among others, should acknowledge his action and give information needed to reveal the case. "We will assessed his attitudes and statements," he said.
Febri said, the defendant has not gave new and relevant information, whether from the hearings nor investigation process. During the trial, Novanto was still denying a number of allegations. "Meanwhile, our prosecutors have filed solid evidences of his involvement," Febri remarked.
KPK prosecutors have shown two evidences of Novanto's involvement in e-ID card procurement graft case that caused Rp2.3 trillion in state losses. Febri said, evidences and testimony from witnesses have revealed Novanto's influence and role in the procurement.
"We also still trying to prove alleged flow of fund to Novanto which was very complicated, layered and cross-country," he said.
Febri said, KPK will gradually prove another elements, such as state losses and other parties' financial loss. He believed, the judges will considered incriminating and relieving things. "The defendant should remember that this is a life sentence case or maximum of 20 years imprisonment," he said.
