REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had lunch with Indonesian Defence Forces (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Muyjono, and Navy Commander (KSAL) Admiral Ade Supandi at the Bogor Palace here, Thursday.

The TNI commander and the chiefs of KSAD and KSAL arrived at the Bogor Palace at 2:04 p.m. local time. They were immediately greeted by the president at the lunch table where a variety of fish dishes, oxtail soup, and an assortment of vegetables were on display.

The president immediately invited Marshall Tjahjanto, General Muljono, and Admiral Supandi to enjoy the dishes.

The president engaged in an informal conversation with the TNI leaders while enjoying lunch in a room facing the front yard of the Bogor Palace.

The president received the TNI leaders after arriving from Turkey where he had attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC's) Summit on Wednesday to discuss the unilateral declaration of US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

President Jokowi has concluded his visit to Istanbul, Turkey, and returned to Jakarta, with a stopover at the Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.

Presidential Secretariat Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media Bey Machmudin remarked in a statement that the presidential special aircraft Indonesia-1 had landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport at 11 p.m. local time on Thursday for refueling.

President Jokowi, along with his entourage, arrived back in Jakarta on Thursday afternoon.

At the summit, President Jokowi stated that US President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital was unacceptable.

Hence, Indonesia has invited all OIC countries to unite and set aside all differences to defend Palestine.
