REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEDAN -- President Joko Widodo (Joko Widodo) was reluctant to comment on Setya Novanto condition.
He did not say a word when being asked by the reporters whether he will visit the House of Representatives speaker, who is currently being treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital, Jakarta.
"Do you have any plan to visit Setnov (Setya Novanto)?" asked the reporters to Jokowi after the President inaugurated the 10th National Meeting of Alumni Corps of the Muslim Students Association (KAHMI) in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday (November 17).
Hearing the question, Jokowi stayed quiet for a while then laughed.
Jokowi turned back his body and walked away from the crowd of reporters.
"I urge Mr Setya Novanto to follow the existing legal process," President Jokowi said in Jakarta, Friday.
The head of state, however, refused to comment on a possible replacement of the House speaker, as Novanto has been named a suspect by the KPK.
"It comes under the authority of the House of Representatives (DPR)," he remarked.
Novanto, who is also the Golkar party chairman, had an accident at Permata Hijau area on Thursday (November 16) night. He was rushed to Medika Permata Hijau hospital.
Novanto immediately fainted and got a bump in his left forehead. He was rushed to Medika Permata Hijau hospital and since Friday afternoon he has been under treatment of Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital.
Meanwhile, his aide and the driver were safe.
