REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta deputy governor Sandiaga Uno said, there has been no communication with PT Grand Ancol Hotel after Alexis hotel and Griya Pijat Alexis (massage house) lost its business permit. The Jakarta provincial government refused to extend Alexis business permit because they believed it was operating as a brothel.

"We are ready to meet with all parties, especially in the process of creating job opportunities," he said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday.

Sandi offered the staffs of Alexis hotel to join business entities that follow One District One Center of Enterpreneurship (OK OCE) program. He said, Alexis staffs who master skill in culinary can work in restaurants. The same program opened to experts in beauty salon.

Sandiaga denied, Jakarta provincial government move to not extend Alexis business permit will bring a negative sentiment to investment climate.

"We receive a lot of investments offering from many investors. They have been lining up to discuss it with me," he said.

Meanwhile, Alexis Group legal staff and spokesperson, Lina, hoped the Jakarta provincial government would reconsider the decision to not renew Alexis business permit

Lina who goes by one name said, Alexis management will coordinate with Jakarta provincial government.

"We will coordinate with Jakarta provincial government. We hope they will review, will oversee," she said when contacted by Republika.co.id, on Tuesday.

Earlier, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan reiterated that he would not extend the operation permit of Alexis hotel in North Jakarta. He explicity mentioned during his gubernatorial campaign that he had collected sufficient evidences that the hotel and massage house hosted prostitution services.

He asserted Jakarta would not become a city that allows prostitution. Anies claimed, he has received reports and complaints from residents as well as media reports about that.

Closing down Alexis hotel also was one of his key campaign promises during the gubernatorial election.
