REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta provincial government has decided not to renew business permit of Alexis Hotel and Griya Pijat (Massage) Alexis. Governor Anies Baswedan said, the decision is a manifestation of his campaign promise.

"We are strict. We do not want Jakarta to be the city that allows prostitution practices," he said at Jakarta City Hall on Monday.

Nevertheless, he admitted, the Jakarta provincial government has not communicate with PT Grand Ancol Hotel as business owner.

"We will see their reaction. But, our stance is clear. The business owner already knew about this. It was not something new. It has been said for months," Anies reiterated.
